Accountability. Responsibility. And a drive to do what’s right. These are the life skills that can be taught in school – with tools that improve student behavior. Tools that elevate student growth. That usher in a more positive climate, campus-wide. Our school is currently using the Hero K12 program to track positive behavior. When schools use Hero to reinforce positive behaviors, negative behaviors drop off – improving the learning environment and increasing effective in-class time. We would like to create a game room where students who have earned a set amount of Hero points can take a friend and play video games, Foosball, board games, etc. during their lunch time. Teachers will also be able to take their entire class in as a reward. The main focus will be on our 6-8 graders, however, the room will be used school-wide reaching over 900 students.
