My students need some snacks that they can eat in class or bring home after school for those who don't have this basic need met at home.

My Students
I am proud of how motivated my German students are to learn. Our German students are great at student directed learning and come from mixed backgrounds. While we have great families and a very supportive school, not every student has their basic needs met. Some students don't want their peers to know their needs.
Our students have run their own class elections and started student driven activities for learning language and increasing community involvement.
They put together a soccer team and practice so they can be healthier. They learned about different forms of government and picked student platforms to learn about culture. Students registered to vote and voted and decided what they thought would help them learn more German and help integrate with other subjects at the school. My students are doing a great job working towards being life long learners.
My Project
Our students are great learners and work hard but sometimes a student is distracted or seems to be falling asleep in class and says they didn't eat.
One of the things that helps students the most who are falling behind is offering them a meal or snacks at school.
We want to have food they have the option of taking home or eating in class if they are hungry and don't want to call attention to themselves by telling a counselor that they don't have money for lunch. I want to have a few snacks in my classroom for the students that ask me for food and say they haven't eaten.
