Ours is a Title I school located in Kansas. The majority of our students receive free or reduced rate lunch and many are English Language Learners. Though these kids might not have everything that others do; they come to school with great attitudes and minds like sponges that are ready to soak up any learning opportunity that is thrown their way.
Some of the students are homeless.
There are a lot of special needs students at the school. The neighborhood in which the school located was hit by a tornado a few years ago. Some of the students live with grandparents or in single parent homes. A lot of the parents are unemployed due to the recession and the economy.
My Project
These dry erase boards, dry erase markers, and erasers will help the students to gain more knowledge in STEM. The kids need to be prepared to learn about STEM in a very competitive world. The children will be more prepared in an ever changing technological society.

Engineers are in a high demand so the kids will be prepared for those jobs. The supplies will help the children increase their knowledge of STEM. Math is essential to know to be successful in life. Please help.
