My Project

I am requesting books for our classroom library. Access to reading materials was limited during COVID-19. To increase student interest in reading, I have worked with my class to curate a list of student-picked books for our library. My students will use these books for a mix of literature circles and leisure reading.

Last year, I carried out a similar fundraiser using GoFundMe.

The results were better than I had initially hoped, with student engagement with our class library increasing tenfold. Students are much more likely to pick up books that are recommended by their peers and not me.
