Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Next year I will teach 8th-grade Principles of Human Services and students will have a complete culinary unit in addition to cooking on Fridays for class rewards. This is a high school credit course offered at the middle school and I want our students to have all the same experiences as the course at the high school level.

Please help me provide our students with a fully stocked pantry of salt and pepper, spices, non-stick cooking spray, and olive oil.

We also have a school garden that our students run, and they will be able to learn how to cook what we grow and harvest, like tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, etc. Students will have fun preparing what they grew in the garden with a new set of spices, cooking sprays, and oils.
