This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a dedicated National Board Certified Education Specialist working in a high school environment. Our Title I school serves a diverse population, and I am inspired by the determination of my students as they navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges. In my Community-Based Instruction (CBI) class, we have had the opportunity to engage in various activities, including joining the yearbook staff, participating in school events, volunteering in the community, and serving on the Associated Student Body (ASB). My students thrive in movement and hands-on experiences, and I am truly honored to be their teacher, striving to encourage them to surpass their greatest expectations.

The phonlogical awareness journal, phoneme sorting activity, letter and number tracing boards, bingo and magnet organizers are just what my students need to thrive.

As they prepare to transition to a vocational school, they need to learn skills such as, reading, writing and counting. These skills will prepare them for their first job. Using real-world applications, in a student centered learning environment, they will have the opportunity to collaborate with each other and work in small groups. Thank you for helping my students thrive in the real world.
