Student Book Club - Teens Read Too!

My Project

We have a new student book club at our high school consisting of 30 students who are in groups of 6. Though we have multiple copies of some books, the students want to be able to annotate and tab sections as they read. For this reason, we are asking for paperback copies of these student selected titles so they book club students can tab the pages. The books the students have chosen are all popular award winning novels, such as Monday's Not Coming and Ace of Spades.

By reading and discussing books, students can step into the shoes of others, and make connections with peers who may be different from them.

They get to see what other people noticed or enjoyed from a book and compare their reading experiences and points of views. The more this happens, the richer the story gets.

We are so excited that we have so many students wanting to participate in a book club this year and hope to get this project funded to help our students who may not have the finances to easily purchase books themselves.
