Mrs. Frye from Columbia SC is requesting supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a book binding machine, spiral book bindings, and book cover paper so that they can create books and publish them in our classroom.

Do you remember what it was like when you were in school and you wrote a story that you really liked? The students in my class love to write stories and are very creative. Providing the students with an opportunity to publish their stories for others to read will really encourage as young writers
My students are an amazing group of second grade students.
They love to learn and are excited to show others their work. They live in an area where not many resources are available to them and many of them are high poverty. They do not get to experience a lot of things as a result of their economic status and the various struggles that they face in their individual lives.
My students need a book binding machine, spiral book bindings, and book cover paper so that they can create books and publish them in our classroom. These resources will help my students turn their writing into wonderful published books. When students know that their writing can be published and put out for other students to read, they strive to do their best writing. The students will really gain a sense of pride in their work. They will also work harder and challenge themselves to write more interesting stories. The students will also learn to see themselves as writers and gain a better appreciation for writing. The students will also support each other and want to read what other students have created.
Donations to this project will make a huge impact on my students as they love to write.
