Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This initiative is designed to promote and reward outstanding student attendance and to foster a positive school climate through recognition and engagement opportunities. Supplies will be used to support the following components of the incentive program:
1.
Glow in the Dark Dance Celebration: Students who maintain outstanding attendance will be invited to a special dance. Supplies such as glow sticks and decorations will be used to make the dance exciting and memorable to motivate students to come to school.
2. Morning Announcement- Flag Salute- Students will be given the opportunity to lead the school in stating the Pledge of Allegiance. The leadership opportunity recognized their commitment and promotes pride. Students need to be in school on time to participate.
3. Birthday Acknowledgments- to help every student feel seen and celebrated, we will acknowledge birthdays over the announcements. Students will be called to the office to receive a small token such as pencils, stickers, or small toy (play dough, figet toy)
