This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will be used by all students through K-5 in completing all their assignments and projects throughout the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Paper is the largest commodity which will be used daily in both drafting sketches, design, as well as creating finished products.
The paper I am requesting is no traditional paper, but sulphite paper which is a valuable amenity in that it can be used for dry and wet media.
This paper will be used for the half-gallon paints and water-soluble MrSketch markers I am requesting as well.
The armature wire I am requesting will be used in conjunction with the clay to explore the endless possibilities of 3D clay armature-supported sculptures which will then be painted using the half-gallon paints.
Students will learn to build their knowledge of as well as use primary paint colors from the half-gallon paints to create secondary in addition to complimentary colors.
The watercolor soluble color pencils will be another medium my students will be able to explore as well as the watercolor Yasutomi paint sets.
