My Project

COVID-19 has made students less connected with other people and their communities, which has limited their understanding of the importance of the cultural connections with each other and the environment.

In my science classes, I like to teach students the importance of helping the community, protecting the land, learning the cultural importance of our school and surrounding area, and how native plants are important to our community and the continued sustainability of it.

I am asking for gloves so that students can use them for community clean ups, banners to make large signs so that the public in our community can be reminded to keep our school and neighboring areas clean, and sign stands to make small informational reading material for the public to read about about the importance of the cultural areas and native plants around them.

By donating to our project, you will help to improve and increase student connection to their community, to help them increase their knowledge of the area, and help to create signs for the public to remind them about the need to be kind to the environment, to learn about the cultural significance of the area and of the native plants too.
