Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 3rd grade students are eager to learn and explore the world of STEM and science with hands on learning challenges. Many of our STEM challenge projects involve tape, glue, and magnets to keep them together. For example students will be testing the idea of solar heat by taping materials such as wax paper, black construction paper, and aluminum foil to cereal box cookers then determine which materials absorb heat or keep food insulated. The magnets will adhere our investigations in place when we need them to stay steady.
These activities can help students develop critical thinking and problem solving skills to become lifelong innovators.
Having these necessary resources will motivate the students to stick with their inspirations.
