My Students
Students at our school are a very diverse group. Their parents have come to America from all over the globe. Our school community speaks seventeen different languages. One thing that everyone can agree on is that the kids deserve every chance to succeed.
Our school creed is, "Inspiring each other every day to grow in every way," and we take these words very seriously.
Given the opportunity, we do great work. And with your help we will continue to do just that.
My Project
By learning to play chords on a ukulele my students will begin on a journey that will lead to a place where they can provide their own accompaniment as they sing sing songs they already know, but even more important it will give the foundation knowledge they will need to write and accompany songs of their own. Learning to express oneself musically is a talent that can serve a person for the rest of their life. The joy of performing is multiplied when you join others in a band, orchestra, or non-traditional ensembles of your own design. Your donation will allow my students the opportunity to develop a skill that has no limits and can be used forever.
