My Students

Chorus and Drama class is are fun and creative classes every day. My students are full of creativity and it explodes in the classroom and stage. I am always amazed at the new and fun ideas that they create. Students are learning about so many things from public speaking to learning the ukulele and best of all, we are still finding creative ways to perform!

My students are kind, smart, and energetic!

I know that if I want to reach my students, I must come up with fun ways to reach each child in the way they learn best.

My Project

This year has been an adventure for everyone. This holds very true in the music classroom. Chorus looks very different than it ever has before. With new safety guidelines in place, I have had to get creative in my class. How have I done this? I've started a ukulele program! Students are still singing, still performing, and still creating. Best of all, they are learning an instrument that can accompany them as they perform.

With numbers increasing in my classroom, safety is at the forefront of my concerns.

We are not able to sing in the same ways we have in the past. Ukuleles allow us to use outdoor space as well as limit the amount of time we are singing while still learning.
