As a teacher of ~200 freshmen and sophomores, it is critical that my classroom has crystal clear organizational structures. This is even more essential for my inclusion English students whose success can be greatly hindered by a disorganized classroom! I have learned that all students thrive with structure, clarity, and predictability.
Organization sets up the student and the teacher for success.
The crates and file folders funded by this project will allow students to securely store their class work and journals in one, easy-to-access place each class period. This will help to prevent students from losing or damaging their work while ensuring they remain responsible for its completion. As their executive functioning skills develop, these organizational system supplies will help to fill in the gaps!
