Stronger Together: Games for Community Building & Mental Wellness
Please help me provide my students with resources for back-to-school community-building activities that emphasize teamwork, communication, empathy, and problem-solving.
Starting a new school year can bring a mix of emotions—excitement, nervousness, and everything in between. For many students, especially after recent years of change and stress, building strong, healthy relationships at school is more important than ever. That’s why I’m requesting engaging games and materials designed to help my students connect, build trust, and support their mental and emotional well-being from the very beginning.
Through cooperative games, icebreaker conversations, and group challenges, students will have fun while developing essential social-emotional skills.
The games, decorations, and other resources will be used for back-to-school community-building activities that focus on teamwork, communication, empathy, and problem-solving. These positive interactions help reduce anxiety, strengthen peer connections, and create a classroom environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
Research shows that when students feel connected and supported socially, their mental health and academic performance improve. These materials will not only help us start the year with joy and connection—they’ll also serve as tools for promoting emotional resilience and healthy relationships throughout the year.
