Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Stronger Minds, Brighter Futures care kits is a student-led mental health awareness project where my students design and distribute personalized care packages to support the emotional well-being of their peers.

The goal is to provide comfort, encouragement, and practical tools to raise awareness about mental health while also sparking open conversations.

The project will also promote self-care and emotional resilience along with creating a sense of community and peer support.

My students will use the clear pouches to assemble the kits with thoughtful messages. They will use the HP printer and the extra HP -148x high yield ink toner cartridge to create self-care guides that include simple breathing exercises, journaling prompts, and coping strategies. Post-it notes will be used to create handwritten affirmation messages. Snacks will be included in each package to comfort the recipients. To promote their packages, a table will be set up with the light up letters with our school's initials.
