Help me give my students materials to improve their muscle strength, balance, and coordination to increase their physical independence in the classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students range in age from 5-21 years and have physical disabilities which have a significant impact on their ability to independently participate in learning in the classroom. My students are working hard to improve their strength, balance, and coordination to better participate independently in their educational day. The items I have requested will help my students increase muscle strength, balance, and coordination in a fun way. My students have many obstacles to learning; when they are having fun they are able to work harder and show greater gains in independence. The items requested will be used primarily by my middle school students, who are medically fragile and have both cognitive and physical challenges.
