Help me give my students the best start a strong year! As a teacher that serves predominately black and brown students, funding this project will help students to be comfortable, supported, and have the resources they need.

My Project

These items will help my classroom to feel safe and well resourced for all students. Throughout the last year, I've realized how much more students need on a regular basis to access their learning in the best way possible. I currently work in a public school that serves predominantly black and brown students who deserve to use the same items that they would have access to in a well-resourced private school. This project allows me to do that next year.

By providing students with headphones, dry erase boards, and pencils, I can ensure students have the basic necessities to access their education.

The decor will help students to feel safe and represented in their learning environment, which is of utmost importance. As an educator of color, I am well aware of how much our students need. These items don't necessarily fix all the problems, but they make it easier for students to learn in an environment that is well resourced and comfortable.
