Hello. My name is Mrs. Tannehill. I teach fifth grade at a small school in Tennessee. Most of my students come from low income households and many are English Language Learners. I love teaching my students because they are eager to learn. Through this project, I hope to receive high quality and engaging items to help teach some of the most difficult ELA concepts.
Reading is essential to learning, but many of my students struggle to read at grade level.
I plan to use these materials to help strengthen their fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. The Quickie cards will be used in centers and/or for students to work on after they finish their classwork. I will use the The Paragraph a Week Journals to help my students develop and strengthen their writing skills. Developing these skills will help my students become more successful both in school and life. I look forward to using these items in my classroom for many years.
