Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Giving my second grade students rewards for their efforts suggests that their hard work is appreciated. This is a powerful mindset to have in the classroom and can encourage students to feel better about the work they complete, as well as themselves. This promotes feelings of pride, which go hand-in-hand with happiness.

When they see their hard work is being rewarded, they'll be more likely to strive harder in the future, even if they're struggling.

End-of-year awards provide positive reinforcement around growth and progress, boost confidence, self-esteem, and are a goal goal-setting tool for students.

I will be giving rewards for the most lessons completed and meeting their end-of-the-year goal in Zearn Math.

Also, for IXL math and science, completed lessons and progress.
