This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are passionate and are always looking at ways to improve their emotions, manage their struggles, and do the best they can! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to grow and learn new skills that will not only help them inside the classroom, but will help them with home life, work, friends, and other relationships.

My Project

My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for all my students where they can be heard and understood, but also challenged. I purchased relaxing chair, coloring items, fidget toys, thinking games that will allow a space for comfort, mindfulness, creativity, and a place to challenge their mindset, emotions, thoughts, and attitude.

My plan is to use my motivational quote posters to help provide a more therapeutic environment in my office.

The CBT and DBT decks will help teach them the proper skills to be in more control of their thoughts, emotions, and actions.
