My Students

My students come from what the New York Times called the most diverse county in the USA, Fort Bend. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Arabic. My students are very advanced; most students take several AP courses per year. These courses are strenuous and have a great impact on their overall GPA. The kids prepare throughout to take the AP Exams in May in order to earn college credit in their various AP courses.

My Project

The class set of AMSCO books will be used at the end of each unit in our AP US History course. It will also be available to all students to check out as we get closer to the exam in order to study from home.

The book was conceived as a guide to accompany a year-long course and bridge the gap between the typical textbook and the needs of the AP history student, who must be able to deal successfully with a challenging exam.

It offers a concise, accessible, and easy to review survey of the course content. The book also covers the social studies skills that are part of the AP US History framework.
