This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Music is a powerful part of our school community, and my students look forward to music class as a place where they can be creative, expressive, and work together. To help them make the most of this experience, I’m requesting a few essential items that will make our classroom more functional, engaging, and safe. Clorox wipes will help us keep our shared instruments clean and ready for use. A laminator will allow me to create colorful, reusable posters and learning aids that can last all year. Bean bags will give students a fun, flexible way to participate in movement and rhythm games. Recorders will provide my 4th graders with their first experience learning a real instrument. Storage bins will help us organize and protect our instruments, making them easier for students to access and take care of.

These materials will transform our classroom into a more welcoming, efficient, and inspiring learning environment.

My goal is to create a space where every student feels comfortable, focused, and excited to learn. By keeping things clean and organized, we can spend less time managing materials and more time making music together. With tools like recorders and interactive visuals, students will develop musical skills through hands-on learning that sticks with them.

What makes my students special is their enthusiasm and resilience. No matter what challenges they face outside of school, they show up ready to sing, move, play, and create. They deserve a space that supports their growth, sparks their imagination, and helps them build confidence through music. This project is a step toward making that dream a reality.
