it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I’m requesting, including playdough, games, and fidget tools, will make a profound difference in students' learning by offering accessible ways to manage stress and refocus. Many students arrive at the wellness center feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or struggling to concentrate. These resources will create a calming space where students can decompress and regain control over their emotions, ultimately enhancing their focus and readiness to learn in class.
The goal of this project is to equip the wellness center with interactive and sensory tools that promote emotional regulation and stress relief, enabling students to build essential coping skills.
By providing these supports, we aim to foster a safe, welcoming environment that empowers students to navigate school challenges with resilience and renewed energy.
My students are special because they are navigating a variety of personal and academic pressures yet continue to seek healthy ways to manage their challenges. They are dedicated to their growth, and the wellness center is a vital resource that allows them to take meaningful steps toward mental well-being.
