Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students and staff have all different learning styles. The common factor we share is stress! Sometimes, we express this feeling in positive ways (asking for help, taking a walk, breathing) and most times, stress is expressed in negative ways (yelling, hitting, shutting down, negative self-talk).
When I ask my students what they need to release stress, as well as relieve the feelings of anxiousness or nervousness, they respond with needing to move their bodies and/or touching items to feel soothed, relaxed, and/or energized.
Students given the tools to express stress are successful!
