This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need to learn how to cope with stress and manage their emotions. During the pandemic students social skills regressed and feel the need to be behind a screen or phone all the time. During the school day the struggle to socialize appropriately and relate to each other with kindness and sensitivity. I want to work with the school counselor and my students to develop a social emotional curriculum that addresses their emotional needs. School has to be engaging and fun for students to remain motivated and come to school every day.
