This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our sixth , seventh and eighth grade class is enjoying social emotional learning in our Advisory class . We aim to strengthen our social emotional learning by bringing engagement activities through manipulative such as Chess boards and more on engaging activities using portable white boards for collaboration and communication of ideas. Snacks would also benefit the students not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. As a class, we noticed that during snack time , they get to know each other as they share more about their lives and who they are. That communication time serve as an avenue to establish positive rapport and as a means of bringing together the class.
