This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The girl's volleyball program at our school has been through a myriad of coaches over the past few years, and our equipment is in disarray. I stepped onto the court at our school to rebuild a program that has great, hardworking players who are eager to get better. We are a Title I school and do not have the funds in the community to have basic practice equipment, for a functioning, much less successful, program. My players deserve the chance to learn the game, grow, and become the best possible student-athletes they can be.
The Blazepod Reaction Training Platform with increase agility for our girls.
This training platform challenges the athletes mentally and physically by linking sight recognition with body reaction. Volleyball is a game of quick reaction where split seconds can determine the outcome of a point and ultimately a game. With this platform, our girls will increase their reaction time and will improve their agility through various training.
