My Students
My students are world changers who love learning! Through various experiences in our school, they are learning how to become explorers, discovering the way of learning that best fits their individual needs.
My students love seeing how what they are learning in the classroom relates to their every day life, and the world around them. The students are learning to take risks and try new experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the content and to take ownership of their learning.
My Project
The requested book titles all lend themselves to incorporating great STREAM projects! We are in the process of becoming a school that uses Project Based Learning and STREAM to connect out students' learning to the world around them and to gain a deeper understanding of content. All of these books provide a mentor text that I can use to read to my students to inspire a project for them to explore during our school wide Emerging Engineer time.
Books inspire students to challenge their thinking and push them farther in their learning. Mentor texts, such as the titles requested, help students to see the world beyond the four walls of the classroom, and how learning is happening everywhere, every day. These books will also help develop a love of reading in my students by providing a basis to inspire future learning, creating, and exploring of ideas.
