My Students
I have eight wonderful students in the autism spectrum that love to learn and enjoy meeting new people. They are sweet, kind, and loving. They are the reason I go to work everyday and enjoy what I do.
I know with the appropriate resources, their ability to learn new information will improve their well-being and give them confidence to task risks in learning.
No matter what their disabilities are, everyone deserves a chance to be included and to be recognized.
My Project
The magnetic calendar will allow students to build their skills for remembering months, days of the week, holidays, seasons, and number of days per month. This will be reviewed daily. It is easy for all of my students to adjust the calendar month-to-month. It also helps for building a schedule to remember upcoming events.
The bean bag will create a sensory input for when my students need a break.
It will add to their safe zone that will be permitted for a few minutes when needed.
The printer will print out reports, work samples, and pictures that shows their progress.
