My Project

While we know high schoolers need a little down time, we also know they need to stay focused. What better way to accomplish both than to give them a life size Connect Four game to play when they come to the Media Center! Students spend time in the Media Center during homeroom, during lunch, and even after school. I think it is important to give them opportunities to grow their minds even when they think they are just having fun.

When students play Connect Four, they must think strategically.

It's a great way to let students think they are just relaxing, but they are really working on enhancing those skills. Skills that will be useful in class, in sports, in life. Focusing on something like strategy in a game also helps students who are stressed or upset to renew their mindset and get back on track. Won't you help my students to be able to destress, unwind, and become better thinkers?
