This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I was first introduced to StoryWorks in my previous district, and I was blown away by the beautiful magazine with a variety of genres in every issue!

The uses for these magazines in the classroom are endless - from whole group instruction, to station work, to independent reading.

I'd love to be able to introduce my 3rd graders to this amazing resource. Every issue contains full color texts from fiction, to poetry, to persuasive text, to informational text - there is something for everyone!

Not only are the magazine's articles engaging, there are accompanying teacher resources for every article, allowing me to easily craft the text into a full lesson from intervention to enrichment.
