This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a firm believer that reading can take you places. My 6th graders are fun loving students that are willing to take on stories that take them places. I teach in a low income community and although my students face many difficulties both at home and in the classroom, you can feel the love they have for learning every day.

My students are the reason why I love my job very much.

I can feel the love the students have for each other and for learning when they embark on a new challenge. I am proud to teach a campus where I can make a difference each day.

My Project

Every issue of Storyworks is packed with skill-building resources! I will be using these resources to capture the students minds and hearts with all the different stories and genres Storyworks has to offer.

Each issue helps me build their English language arts skills with fascinating and authentic articles, stories and plays I know they’ll love.

With each issue, we’ll work on building the reading, writing and thinking skills my students need to succeed in school and beyond. Plus, Storyworks comes with hundreds of activities to prepare children for standardized tests.

With your contribution I will also get access to the Storyworks website, featuring videos, audio read-alouds, articles and more!
