Storyworks Magazine has a variety of genres with high-interest texts and activities that align with common core standards to engage and encourage 4th grade readers! The print & digital resource has everything needed to boost engagement and achievement in both reading and writing. Storyworks accommodates students with differing ability levels because they offer leveled texts, with read-aloud options to allow students to be independent with their learning. The learning tools that are offered in Storyworks would be used individually, in small groups, and, with the whole class for differentiated learning. Storyworks isn't just a magazine. It's a complete print & online ELA program!
My students will love this Storyworks subscription!
This resource is beneficial in many ways. For example, it would allow us to stay up-to-date on current events and to practice identifying text features such as maps, graphs, and titles. Having a Storyworks subscription in our classroom will also encourage accountable talk among students because we will be able to have classroom discussions about the text in the magazine. Also, students can dig deeper into the nonfiction texts by completing close reads to learn more about these articles and discover new meanings. By having a Storyworks subscription, my students will have repeated exposure to prevalent news and nonfiction text in a captivating way!
