My Students

Imagine a wing full of independent and inquisitive fourth graders all working toward their own learning goals. Our wing is a think tank filled with the leaders of tomorrow. We are unique and their learning is important to the global future.

Our school is located in one of the most vibrant cities in the Northeast!

It is home to a diverse base of families and a spectrum of socioeconomic backgrounds. Every classroom mirrors the diversity in our beautiful city.

About half of our students receive free or reduced-cost lunch, while many others do not. This is what makes our grade level and school a rich and vibrant community much like Portland. These students deserve a vibrant and diversified learning experience that highlights this.

My Project

During a time when school looks different, it is imperative that students have engaging learning opportunities that are current to the times they live in. Storyworks from Scholastic is just what they need.

Storyworks is a vibrant standards-aligned learning resource that promotes deep thought and engagement.

It is released with up-to-date information and current events in mind. This periodical is accompanied by several resources for teachers who can use each article for multiple standards. Students and teachers love Storyworks because it provides fun and engaging articles and stories that support learning across the content areas.
