Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, my transitional kindergarten students have been working hard on making awesome choices in behavior and learning throughout the school day. When you walk through our classroom, they are committed to doing well in school so they can be successful and be excellent learners. At our school, when students are caught following school rules, they earn an "Eagle Buck".
Now that my students are earning "Eagle Bucks", I would like to create an incentive system where my students can become more independent while learning "Eagle Bucks" to celebrate their success!
My student are 4 and turning 5 year old students learning to become independent at school. When students are able to use the requested balance beam, crawl tunnels and color balls during our gross motor skill activity time with little or no support, they can earn an “Eagle Buck.” The materials requested in this project will provide my transitional kindergarten students with a fun experience of how to balance, crawl, follow directions and counting/match colors while teaching students financial literacy and celebrate their success this school year.
