My Students
My school is a special place. We are fortunate to have various backgrounds of race, gender, and heritage attending our school. We maintain a long history of academic success for it's children due to a dedicated staff, our community stakeholders and a close relationship with families of the children we serve.
Students make a difference in our school.
They study to the best of their ability and prepare wisely for their future. We promote that students think about career goals and remain focused on them, as to further understand the importance of education. A student’s role in education is to be an active participant, rather than a passive participant.
My Project
The iPad is a fantastic creative tool which fits in the hands of students. Digital storytelling activities empower students to recount moments from their lives, describe a topic, or persuade an audience. Across all content areas, many digital storytelling apps help students relate to a real audience and gives them a chance to capture their voice.
iPads have a variety of music apps that turn students into storytellers and songwriters.
Students can work with these apps individually or with a partner to create collaboratively. They can outline a task, provide scaffolding where required and provide students space to be creative.
I am asking for eight iPads and eight iPad cases so that my students will be able to communicate their stories sung and heard.
