This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom consists of twenty-three gifted students whom consistently need to be challenged.

They are engaged with hands-on activities using digital devices. Technology integration has had a big impact on their learning. This is why this quote strongly relates to them. Using technology in the classroom has been an essential tool to shape my students' learning.

My students are twenty-three wonderful gifted 2nd graders who are very hands-on visual learners. My students are engaged in interactive classroom lessons for reading, writing, science, social studies, and mathematics. (STEM) They usually work in small groups using differentiated instruction. They use many educational computer programs to practice their reading, writing and mathematical skills. My school is very much involved in technology-based teaching using STEM. Most classrooms have SMART Boards. We are moving towards having lessons presented with technology to further enhance the education and learning gains for all our students.

My Project

The requested MacBook Air laptop computer, Apple iPad tablet, and Apple Magic Mouse will make a difference in my students' learning and improve their school lives because these resources will help them create challenging ideas that make their storytelling come to life. The devices will be used to improve their reading comprehension, as well as their writing skills, by applying what they learn in reading and creating a storytelling project of their very own.

The MacBook and iPad are necessary resources my students will use to create Powerpoint presentations and other digital projects that will enhance their final product.

My students' school lives will improve because technology has become a key factor in education today. They are the storytellers of the future.
