Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The short story books we're requesting will significantly impact our students' learning by providing captivating narratives that cater to their reading levels and interests. As a first-year Language Arts teacher at an economically disadvantaged Title I school where all students read below grade level, these resources are crucial for bridging literacy gaps and fostering a love for reading. Our goal for this project is to improve reading comprehension, critical thinking, and writing skills while cultivating a positive and engaging classroom environment. What makes our students special is their resilience, creativity, and eagerness to learn despite challenges, making these resources essential for their academic growth and success.
