My Students

My students are so excited to start getting hands-on STEAM experiences in our new Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.

The students are curious and creative, imaginative, and innovative.

I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.

My Project

My students love read-aloud time with stories that are STEM-related. It is so fun to read a new book, and then have fun projects to go along with it.

These new STEM books and maker supplies will be great for connecting fun stories with creating new "maker" projects for primary grades.

Each STEM story is such a fun combination of fiction and science that the students will be so excited to try out springs after reading "The Marvelous thing that Came from a Spring", and make circuits to turn on lights after reading "Windows". After reading books like "Twenty One Elephants", students will make their own bridges, and fun coding stories like "How to Code a Rollercoaster" can be used with our programming lessons, either virtually or with our real robots.

We can't wait to get started!
