My Students
My students are so excited to return to school and get back to having hands-on STEAM experiences in our Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.
The students are curious and creative, imaginative, and innovative.
I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.
My Project
My students love storybook time, especially during distance learning. It is a great way for them to connect with a project and be excited about trying something new. Each new story we read together also earns the students rewards that they can save to spend on fun extra STEM projects.
The maker supplies will be used to create take-home kits for students so that everyone can be able to enjoy the STEM projects that go along with our stories.
The students will experiment with bubble gum after learning about how it was invented, make pinwheels, and use magnets to make mouse mazes. Their earned reading rewards can purchase extra kits.
The tablet stand will be used during distance learning to read the books to the students during the online meetings and then will be used by the students once we return to in-person learning to showcase their work. Since students won't be able to work in groups together, the tablet stand can be used with the iPads to project their work onto the big screens so the students can still showcase their creations.
