Story Crafts: From Page to Podcast to Performance

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To empower students to deeply engage with literature, develop their creative skills, refine their communication and produce multimedia projects.

Imagine students transforming classic stories or original narratives into dynamic, multi-sensory experiences!

This project will guide them through a comprehensive process:

Reading and Analysis

They will use whiteboard markers to visually map the out the story elements and for collaborative discussions.

Creative Adaptation and Writing

Students will adapt the stories into new formats such as Podcasts and Short Performance Scripts and Illustrated Story Boards visualizing key scenes with colored papers and crayons.

Audio Production and Performance

Using microphones and earbuds, the students will record the podcasts and production practicing clear articulation and vocal expressions. Students will then use big speakers to play their podcasts.

Multimedia Presentation

Students will combine their written scripts, audio recordings, and visual storyboards into digital presentations using iPads. The presentation will be shared with potentially in large group.

Reflection and Critique

The students will engage in peer feedback and self realization using white boards.
