My Project
No kid likes reading older generation books! At least the ones I have do not! My classroom book shelf has a lot of my favorite books as I was growing up!
Due to the bad weather in our area recently, our children and our parents have suffered lost wages, and these supplies will be greatly appreciated.
I am hoping that adding some cool, fun, graphic novels to my collection, will excite my students to read more books. I have a really good group of students this year that really love reading. When we work in workstations, my students can have a choice to read a book or use an iPad and read a book online or use it for other reading activities. For another workstation, students can use writing material to write about what they have read.
At the end of the day, I give my students independent reading time. They get to pick a book off the shelves and read for the last 10 min of class. Having fun, entertaining books will make it enjoyable for the students!
