This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have been an English Language Learner teacher for the past four years. I am excited to go back into the classroom to teach some amazing kindergartners. My hope is to create a language-rich environment as many of my students will be English as second language learners.
Kindergarten, for many of my students, is their first school experience.
I want to make learning fun for them. They are an amazing group of kids, who are excited to learn and have experiences they would never get a chance to do.
My Project
My kindergartners love to listen to stories. I would like to give them some new fun and engaging read aloud stories. In my classroom I like to change out the stories on our bookshelf for the students to look at depending on the season or the holidays. This is my first year back into the classroom and I am in need of more stories to share with them.
I always start literacy with reading my kindergarteners a story.
We all gather on our rug and we enjoy a story together. It is one of our favorite parts of our day. Reading to young learners is important!
