My students need a tabletop story telling board, the book Go Away Big Green Monster, and cloth storytelling kits to use with some of our favorite classroom stories: Quick as a Cricket, Silly Sally, Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See, It Looked Like Spilt Milk, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Napping House, and Go Away Big Green Monster.
I am very proud to teach at such a wonderful school. Many of my students face challenges such as learning English or living with hardship, and yet they amaze me with their achievements! Teaching first grade is a joy for me because I get to share my love of reading, books, stories, and learning.
Since reading books together brings my diverse students together for something we all enjoy, we do it often! I want to take it another step and share storytelling with props!
You can help by providing our class with cloth storytelling kits. There are several books that become what I like to think of as "first grade favorites" every year. By providing us with storytelling kits for some of these books, we can continue to get more and more enjoyment! With that enjoyment comes a love of literacy that will stay with them.
I will be excited to thank you with photos and letters/drawings when we receive our materials. I am excited for you to see and hear from students how much they love what you provided! Thank You so much for your time and efforts!
