My Students

In my classroom I try to provide as many opportunities as I can to expand our walls beyond our school, town, state and country.

My students are hungry for new supplies and opportunities to learn about the world around them.

They do not get these opportunities outside of our classroom. It is vital that I make these supplies a reality for my classroom. We are in a low poverty school and my students have many struggles outside the classroom. They do not let these challenges stop them and I want to give them every opportunity to succeed.

My Project

For this project we are asking for Storybook STEM and Novel STEM units. I will use the units of novels and picture book to not only teach important reading skills but also incorporate math, science and technology using the stories such as Charlotte's Web and The Giving Tree as well.

My class loves to read and they love our STEAM materials, I want to combine the two together to create memorable lessons for my students.

With your help I will be able to not only teach what is required, but also let my students become problem solvers and creators within the classroom.
