My Project

This project will have a huge impact on the social-emotional growth of my kindergarten students. As a teacher, my goal is to create a print-rich classroom where students feel excited to explore, learn, and grow—both academically and emotionally. My classroom library is a favorite space where students love to gather, whether for read-aloud sessions, independent reading, or small group discussions.

The goal of this project is to provide my students with a diverse selection of books that foster emotional growth while also improving their literacy skills.

Some of the stories will be used for read-aloud and discussions that allow students to connect with characters who model positive behaviors and relationships. These books will help them practice self-regulation, understand the importance of compassion and gratitude, and learn how to build meaningful friendships based on kindness and respect. Each book will also allow them to reflect on their behavior and choices, encouraging them to be mindful of their actions toward others.

By contributing to this project, you’ll be giving my students the tools they need to navigate the world around them with kindness, empathy, and self-awareness. Your support will make a lasting difference in their emotional and academic development, helping them grow into thoughtful and caring individuals who will carry these lessons with them for years to come.
