My Students

We are a Title I school. A Title I school is a school receiving federal funds. The basic principle of Title I is that schools with large concentrations of low-income students will receive supplemental funds to assist in meeting student's educational goals.

Our school house PreK -8th grade.

Having different grade levels, allows the older students to become role models for the entire school body. At the same time, they can be themselves as they begin their transition from childhood to adulthood.

Our students are at a disadvantage and are playing catch up when it compares to other school districts.

My Project

Many of my students do not enjoy reading, as they get older. "Storyboard That", wakes up those boring stories. The students become illustrators and authors. You do not have to know how to draw with this digital creator. The Storyboard Creator has so much art while students use their creativity! There’s content for ELA, history, science, math, and others, in order to help with any class.

There are a vast amount of characters from historical to mythical and futuristic, scenes for any setting, plus many more, students and teachers alike can create projects, worksheets, posters, and resources.

Students will find everything they need to complete reports, summaries, analyses for subjects like English, Science, Social Studies, and more.

The price of the program is for the entire school year. I've used it in previous years. The students loved it! Many continue to use it at home and even during the summer! My students shared their work with my colleagues, who also enjoyed looking at the slide show the student made.

The $100 gift card will be used to purchase supplementary materials use to support lessons throughout the school year. This is a site where materials are made by teachers who used them on their students and found their lessons were very sucessful.
