Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come in with enthusiasm and are motivated to learn. I love the little things they do each day to use the language taught in the classroom. It could be expressed in many ways. Most of the students are learning a new language while others are improving their home language. The materials will be utilized to help students reinforce and or develop foreign language, as well as writing it. They will be able to bring to life stories they have created. They can share them during our literacy block, helping and motivating others and themselves to express a new language. Using art can help them express their own knowledge in different topics of interest. This will help build visual images that can be then transformed into classroom plays, read aloud and or director’s chairs.
